Fakultativkurse für Cambridge-Sprachdiplome in Englisch

Überdurchschnittlich gute Schülerinnen und Schüler des Gymnasiums, der Wirtschaftsmittelschule und der Fachmittelschule können im letzten Ausbildungsjahr einen Fakultativkurs zur Vorbereitung auf eine internationale Cambridge-Sprachprüfung besuchen – wahlweise das B2 First (ehemals FCE), das C1 Advanced (ehemals CAE) oder das C2 Proficiency (ehemals CPE). In their senior-year, gymnasium, WMS and FMS students may attend the B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency course. These courses consist of two lessons per week from the first week of the school year in August until the certificate examinations in March. The examinations take place externally in Thun or Bern.

The B2 First qualification confirms independent language use and the language skills needed to work or study in an English-speaking country. It corresponds to the B2 language level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The C1 Advanced is an advanced level qualification attesting high-level language skills. It corresponds to the C1 language level of the CEFR.
The C2 Proficiency is the highest qualification and confirms that you are a highly competent speaker of English.  It corresponds to the C2 language level of the CEFR.
